There is a worldwide demand for humane devices to capture animals. This demand arises for both environmental and ethical reasons.

This trap was designed to meet International Standards and has seen ten years successful use in the USA. This trap is an approved spring trap for England and provides an additional method of control for problem foxes.

Do you want them dealt with humanely?

It is not a snare and works on an entirely different principle. The trap is designed to capture canines, including the red fox, by throwing a secure, non-choking cable loop over their head and around their neck making capture faster, easier and more humane than ever before. The end of the capture loop is anchored in the ground and the canine is held like a dog on a chain. It is unique in a number of ways.

Prevention of Diseases Carried by Foxes

Toxocarosis, this is caused by a parasitic roundworm in the fox. Toxocara Canis, can be found in the fox faeces and can be transmitted to humans. It may be responsible for causing blindness in young children if they come into contact with it from playing in areas that foxes have urinated and defecated.

Prevention of Damage

Lambs, poultry, pet rabbits and guinea pigs are all at risk from fox damage, even some domestic cats young and old have been subject to attack from hungry foxes in hard weather.

Prevention of Destruction

Schools, nurseries, lawns, football pitches, golf courses, bowling greens, flower beds, plants, bulbs and swimming pool covers are all subject to damage caused by foxes either digging for worms or teething, along with the risk of defecation or urination. All good reasons why foxes should be controlled.

Animal welfare is our main priority and for this reason we will not trap foxes during the breeding season from March to the end of July as the vixen will be rearing her cubs during this period.

As with all our services we carry out a full site survey that includes risk assessment and method statement.

We are fully trained firearms certificate holders, fully insured and accredited to humanely trap and dispatch problem foxes on site in schools, nurseries, urban environments and agricultural settings. We do not have a trap and release policy for foxes as this will cause even further stress to the animal.
