House Mouse (Mus domesticus)
Mice have a lot in common with the rat, but differences in it's biology and behaviour are the key to effective control. They are rarely found in sewers as they prefer to live indoors, causing damage to buildings.
Description: Fur colour is brownish grey but lighter shades occur. Excellent sense of hearing, taste and smell. They have poor eyesight and are colour-blind. Life span is approx. 9/12 months and they are sexually mature at the age of 6 weeks. They have up to 8 litters a year, with each producing between 5/6 offspring.
How to control rodents: Rodenticides, dust, gels, traps, liquid baits, perimeter bait stations, glue boards & gassing treatments. One off jobs or regular service treatments.
